still

you will feel
the firestorm
that once
 RAGED
 through your blood,
making you
breathless
as the sound of your heart
beat like a
 d r u m
you will feel the matchstrike
as the touch of your skin
unites
 causing the electric
current to
 travel
and
 travel
making your toes curl
in complete
satisfaction
you will feel this
story
again and again

    Best wishes

  6. Cindy, this is such an interesting poem...starts off with all that heat and anger...and slides into something entirely different. So much power here...like a form of release.

  9. Cindy, pardon this intrusion:
I wished so much to comment on Devika's "abstract". If she reads this, maybe she will allow me a brief three sentences.

(Her comments are closed, of course.)
